Terms of Service
Effective date: 15 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of 8legs, operated by UAB Gildium. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you use 8legs on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
1. The service
8legs is a multi-LLM "audit" platform: it sends your question to several independent third-party AI models and displays their responses side by side, along with a consensus/contradictions summary. We are not an AI model and we do not author the responses. We aggregate and display output generated by third-party providers.
2. AI output — no reliance, no professional advice
- AI responses are generated by third parties and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, contradictory, or entirely fabricated ("hallucinated").
- 8legs does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Nothing shown through the service is a substitute for a qualified professional.
- You are solely responsible for how you use, verify, and act on any output. Do not rely on it for decisions where an error could cause harm without independent verification.
3. Accounts
You must sign in with a valid Google account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use 8legs.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use 8legs to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights (including intellectual property or privacy);
- generate or distribute harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or deceptive content;
- submit other people's personal or sensitive data without a lawful basis;
- attempt to breach security, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or resell the service; or
- violate the usage policies of the underlying AI providers.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Plans, quotas and billing
- Free: a limited number of audits (currently 3), subject to change.
- Pro ($7.99/month): up to 20 audits per day.
- Pro+ ($19.99/month): up to 50 audits per day.
- Ultimate ($29.99/month): up to 100 audits per day.
Annual billing is available at a discount, and any additional tiers are as described on our pricing page, which is the authoritative source for current plans and prices.
All prices are in US dollars (USD). Paid plans are sold and billed through Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges (monthly or annual) until you cancel. Prices are shown exclusive of tax unless stated; any applicable sales tax, VAT or GST for your location is added at checkout where required. Quotas, features and prices may change; we will give notice of material changes and price changes apply from your next billing period.
6. Cancellation, refunds and withdrawal
You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Consumer withdrawal rights and our refund practice are described in the Refund & Withdrawal Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
The 8legs name, interface and software are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. As between you and us, you retain rights in the questions you submit; you grant us the right to process them to operate the service (including transmitting them to AI providers). Rights in AI output are subject to the terms of the provider that generated it.
8. Data protection & third-party services
8legs depends on third parties (Google/Firebase, Stripe, and the AI providers). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and their acts or omissions are not our responsibility.
Our handling of personal data for which we are the controller is described in our Privacy Policy. If you use 8legs in the course of business to process personal data of third parties (for example your staff, customers, or other individuals), you act as a data controller and we act as your processor. In that case our Data Processing Agreement applies and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please do not submit third parties' personal data unless you have a lawful basis to do so.
9. Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that output is accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
For business/professional users (B2B): to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data; and our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
For consumers (B2C): nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited under Lithuanian or EU consumer law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for our fraud). Your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Indemnity (business users)
If you use 8legs for business purposes, you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or breach of these Terms. This clause does not apply to consumers.
11. Changes and termination
We may modify the service or these Terms; material changes will be notified and, for continuing paid subscriptions, take effect at the next renewal. You may stop using 8legs and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach or where required by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Lithuanian courts. Consumers may also rely on the mandatory protections and courts of their country of residence. (The EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued in 2025; you may instead approach a competent consumer dispute-resolution body in your country.)
