Zimmer Hall serves as a hub for undergraduate science and mathematics, housing multiple departments and facilities.
Alan Zimmer earned his MD in 1956 and helped pioneer CAT and MRI imaging in the U.S.
Stuart Zimmer described the renaming as an inspiration for future discovery and community.
The Zimmer gift also supports kosher dining expansion at multiple campus venues.
The renaming aligns with Harvard’s broader goals to boost science, math teaching and student life.
