Lost sea lion pup found wandering streets of San Francisco

A sea lion pup wandered into San Francisco streets several blocks from the ocean and prompted a coordinated rescue.
Park rangers, SF Police, a Marine Mammal Center volunteer and others helped capture the pup and secure it for care.
Officials named the pup Irving and said the Marine Mammal Center is providing the admission exam and care.

Local residents reported hearing a sea animal and seeing the pup near 48th Avenue and Irving Street.
The rescue involved multiple agencies and a crate provided by Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital.
By the end, Irving was under veterinary care at the Marine Mammal Center.
