Ariana Grande to make London stage debut alongside Jonathan Bailey in Sunday in the Park With George

Ariana Grande will make her London theatre debut in a 2027 Barbican revival of Sunday in the Park With George, starring opposite Jonathan Bailey.
The musical is inspired by Georges Seurat and will be staged at the Barbican Centre in summer 2027.
Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande will perform in a show directed by Marianne Elliott, known for recent acclaimed stage work.
Grande will play Glinda in the Wicked films and is expanding her theatre career with this London debut.
Productions will be produced by Empire Street Productions with Barbican support, and more casting will be announced later.
Ticket sales are scheduled to begin in May, with additional tour details to come.
The revival will adapt Sondheim’s Pulitzer-winning musical, following the Seurat-inspired narrative about art and ambition.
The production is linked to the Seurat painting 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte' featured in the story’s inspiration.
Bailey’s recent rise includes Bridgerton, with Grande’s recent screen work lifting the show’s cross-media appeal.
The Barbican production will be designed by Tom Scutt, with further design details announced later.
