Laura and Dan Dorn were named Salem’s First Citizens for long-term community impact and philanthropy.
Dan Dorn started Sunco Homes & Remodeling in 1978 and has helped build or remodel hundreds of Salem homes.
The Dorns are active on multiple local boards and support youth through philanthropy.
The First Citizen award is presented annually by the Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Laura Dorn reflected on their partnership and teamwork in receiving the honor.
The award ceremony is set for a banquet at the Salem Convention Center on April 18.
