FutBotMX 2026: Mexico's science ministry launches robot soccer tournament

  • FutBotMX Cup 2026 will blend science, robotics and sports ahead of the World Cup to spark innovation.

  • The event runs April through June 2026 at venues across 38 institutions.
  • Final rounds and live events will be held at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City with regional venues also used.

  • Teams from France, Italy and Switzerland have confirmed participation so far.
