The Paul Revere ride will be reenacted in broad daylight with a police escort, tracing his original route from Boston to Lexington.
The event will occur during the day and include a police escort, a notable departure from the original midnight ride.
Thousands are expected to watch as history comes alive from Boston to Lexington via a sequence of towns along the original route.
Some parts of the original night will not be included, such as Revere taking a boat to Charlestown or a brief detention by patrols.
The reenactment is organized by the National Lancer, a historic mounted unit in Massachusetts, for more than a century.
