'Stunning' crime thriller to be adapted into 8-part series from Dept. Q producers

The eight-part Sky series is a bold, contemporary reimagining of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Production will begin in Spring 2026 in Lithuania with Left Bank Pictures producing.
Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna are attached as writers for the series.
Sony Pictures Television will handle international distribution with pre-sales underway in the USA.
The 2011 film adaptation with Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig is noted but not the focus of the new project.
The Sky series will air in multiple European markets including the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
No casting details have been announced yet for the upcoming show.
Left Bank Pictures is behind the production, known for The Crown and Dept. Q projects.
The upcoming series remains untitled in terms of a release date beyond 2026.
