- The Iowa Veterans Memorial Walkway on Expo Hill will feature historical markers of every war Iowa has participated in.
- The Official America250 Tree will be planted on the fairgrounds in April as part of a statewide program.
- Nightly drone shows will follow the Star-Spangled Fireworks with Spirit in the Sky performances.
- Statewide student art and writing contests, a children’s coloring contest and more will support the celebration.
- Red, White and Blue Day will feature special free entertainment and patriotic elements.
