Des Moines Hoover, Dallas Center-Grimes, and Norwalk advanced in 3A with decisive quarterfinal wins.
Sioux City Bishop Heelan won in a penalty shootout to reach the 2A semifinals against Mount Vernon.
Gilbert and Aplington-Parkersburg/Dike-New Hartford drew in a 0-0 regulation with overtime to decide the 2A quarterfinal.
Cedar Rapids Xavier edged Indianola 2-1 in the 3A quarterfinals to advance.
West Sioux, Western Christian, and other 1A teams performed strongly as quarterfinals continued in Des Moines.
The finals and semifinals are scheduled across early June at Mediacom Stadium in Des Moines.
The tournament is expected to crown new champions in at least two classes this year.
