Maryland Carey Law conferred JD, LLM, and MSL degrees at the Hooding Ceremony May 15 at the Hippodrome Theatre.
Dean Renée Laurent presided as degrees were conferred with UMB President Bruce E. Jarrell in attendance.

Judge Hurson graduated from Maryland Carey Law and later returned to teach Criminal Procedure and Advocacy.
Class speakers praised community and the Maryland Carey Law network.
Students were hooded in law school purple and walked the stage to receive degrees.
Recognition ceremonies announced prizes and Latin Honors for the class.
Elizabeth Harnish-Nisly received the Strobel Thomas Prize and other honors.
Alumni club and donors welcomed the graduates to the alumni community.
The event emphasized the enduring connections formed in law school and the value of mentorship.
