Great Stirrup Cay water park: Norwegian Cruise Line reviews new details ahead of opening

Norwegian Cruise Line details a major private island upgrade with Great Tides Waterpark slated to open in summer 2026.
The expansion includes 19 waterslides, an almost 800-foot dynamic river, and a 110-foot tunnel with LED effects.
The tunnel features LED lighting and projections to create a bioluminescent-inspired scene.
Other upgrades on the island include Great Life Lagoon and a new multi-ship pier already open.
The expansion aims to broaden guest experiences on land and at sea under the banner of delivering the ‘great life’.
WhiteWater West is supplying slides and play structures for the park.
The project is led by Martin Aquatic as master planner for the island expansion.
The island already features new amenities like a scenic welcome plaza and island-wide tram service.
Guests can expect a mix of thrill rides and family-friendly features on and off the waterpark.
