Folsom ensures workers get no-cost health care

Folsom switches town health coverage from BCBS to UnitedHealthcare to keep no-cost plans for employees.

The change could save about $40,000 annually by avoiding each employee’s deductible costs.

Folsom is pursuing capital outlay funds and possible federal loans to offset water system costs.
A 50-year-old water well and tower may need replacement as part of the plan.
Planning and zoning appointed Elaine Khoury to replace the outgoing Gerald Moore on the board.
Folsom will host community events including a Hawk Happenings at the junior high and an Easter Eggstravaganza.
The town dedicated funds for the water project with hopes for state grants or federal loans if needed.
