Hayward MS drone soccer team heads to national championship for 3rd time

Hayward Middle School earns a wild card nomination, securing a spot in the Drone Soccer National Championship.
The national championship will be held May 18–19 in Daytona Beach, Florida, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Hayward’s team is part of Ohio’s growing drone soccer program and is sponsored by the Braxton Miller Foundation.
Three veterans join the squad as Springfield High School students continue to participate alongside middle school players.

The sport originated in Asia and has grown in the United States since 2021, now featuring multiple Ohio teams.
