Which? finds budget airlines’ lowest cabin bag fees rarely available

Which? found the £5.99 cabin bag fee advertised by EasyJet rarely appears in practice, under 1% of flights surveyed.
Which? said customers often see cabin bag charges only late in the booking process, which can mislead.
The survey notes cheaper cabin bag options exist on rivals like British Airways, KLM and Qatar Airways with free cabin bags in many cases.
Which? has shared its findings with the UK's ASA, which is now investigating the issue.
EasyJet did not provide an example of a £5.99 cabin bag flight; the cheapest found was £23.49- £30 on surveyed routes.
Ryanair’s lowest cabin bag price appeared in only 0.3% of 634 checked flights.
Wizz Air’s lowest cabin bag fare (€10) was found only twice in 338 flights, 0.6% of the time.
Which? argues these practices may lead to higher overall costs for passengers.
Ryanair defended its pricing as transparent and aligned with customer choices.
The ASA is examining the data as part of consumer protection oversight.
