Santanu Chatterjee named dean of UGA’s Terry College of Business - UGA Today

Santanu Chatterjee has been named the 13th dean of UGA's Terry College of Business, effective April 1, 2026.
A national search and an 18-member advisory committee led the selection process.
Chatterjee has expanded interdisciplinary offerings and dual-degree programs at Terry College.
Under his leadership, the college has achieved notable rankings, including top value-for-money status globally.
Chatterjee previously served as interim dean and as director of both the full-time MBA and MS in Business Analytics programs.
The Terry College ranks among top public business schools in national surveys.
Chatterjee received teaching and leadership honors, including the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor award in 2018.
He earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Washington and degrees from the University of Delhi and the University of Calcutta.
Chatterjee will lead as donor commitments grow, including endowed chairs and AI-focused initiatives.
