Commanders and star wide receiver Terry McLaurin agreed to a three-year, $96 million contract extension on Monday afternoon following an offseason of drama that escalated into a trade request.
The deal will end the star wideout's lengthy hold-in, which lasted for nearly the entirety of training camp, and get him back on the field 13 days before the Commanders' season-opening matchup against the New York Giants on Sept. 7
McLaurin will sign a new three-year, $96-million extension, according to multiple reports.McLaurin's extension carries an AAV of $32 million, which will make him the No. 6 highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL alongside Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown when the new deal turns in.
